Interview – Veena Gokhale’s book “Land for Fatimah”

7nov18 book cover

Veena Gokhale, “an immigrant, shape shifter, started her career as a journalist in Bombay…. After immigrating to Canada, she worked for non-profits. Land for Fatimah is partly inspired by the two years she spent working in Tanzania.” Now based in Montreal,

Veena has crafted an novel which provides a very human insight into the situation facing landless and dispossessed people and the dilemmas facing NGO workers who try to help. Doug interviewed Veena about her book and the portrayal of real life struggles through fiction. Highly readable. Highly recommended.
